For Lauren's bridal shower in Destin, there was a Pamper/Spa gift theme (themes on themes on themes, right?) and everyone brought something to let Lauren pamper herself. I gave her a candle, nail files, and made this Cucumber Melon bath salts. Here's how I did it!
Homemade Bath Salts from CandleSoap
Supplies Needed:
Epsom salts, baking soda, Cucumber Melon essential oil (available at a craft store), soap dye (available at a craft store), and a mason jar.
Directions:
1. Fill the mason jar halfway with Epsom salt.
2. Add 3-10 drops of your color, depending on how colorful you want the salt. This picture only shows 3 drops, but I ended up adding more and using about 8 in all.
3. Fill the rest of the jar up with epsom salt, leaving about 1/2" at the top. Add 2 tablespoons of baking soda.
4. Put the lid on the jar and shake to mix the coloring. Add more drops and shake if needed.
5. Add a fancy tag :)
